The wind decides
A plan can change in minutes. Choosing to continue or leave the water is never abstract.

Documentary series in development · Sertões Kitesurf 2026
01 · Start at the beginning
Sertões Kitesurf is a long-distance crossing on a board, powered by a kite. For four days, athletes leave one beach in the morning and must reach the next town before nightfall.
There are no lanes. Wind shifts, currents move and the coast does not always offer a safe exit. As athletes advance at sea, rescue boats and a 4x4 convoy try to follow the same route on land.

02 · The story
Rally dos Ventos follows two crossings. One moves along the coast. The other takes place inside those who enter the sea without controlling what they will find.
A plan can change in minutes. Choosing to continue or leave the water is never abstract.
Behind every athlete is a radio, rescue and transport operation racing toward the same destination.
The route passes villages, salt flats and peninsulas where the sea shaped daily life long before the kites arrived.
03 · The territory
The 2026 route returns to Rio Grande do Norte, where the event began in 2021. Touros opens the crossing. Fortim receives the finish four days later.
Nov 25
The first reading of the wind. Expectation ends when the kites enter the water.
Nov 26
A sand peninsula reached by boat or 4x4 changes the relationship between sea and land.
Nov 27
Salt flats, mangroves and a river meeting the sea surround a stretch still under technical survey.
Nov 28
Entering Ceará closes the crossing. Not everyone arrives carrying the same story they started with.
04 · Visual reference
This is the official film of the 2025 event, produced by LKB Sports. It is not the Rally dos Ventos trailer. It shows the territory, operation and visual force the new series will explore in greater depth.

05 · Treatment
The series avoids sports narration that merely recaps results. The race structures time. Decisions and people build the narrative.
Cameras close to the action capture breath, speed and the moments when an athlete must decide.
The drone reveals scale and isolation. A kite at sea looks small against the coast still ahead.
Waiting crews, radio calls and preparation reveal what must work for the race to continue.
Wind, water against the board and radio voices form the base. Music never hides the physical effort.
06 · The people
Reporting starts before the race. We look for people with something concrete at stake and enough access to follow what happens when plans change. No story will be invented to fill a script.
An athlete with a personal reason to reach Fortim.
Someone in safety or the convoy responsible for bringing others back.
A person on the coast whose daily life meets the passing race.
A participant facing the decision to continue or leave the sea.

07 · The host
Gabi Terreiro is a professional athlete and Brazilian champion in TT Race and Hydrofoil Race. She lives in Ceará, rides this coastline and knows when a conversation must wait for an athlete to catch their breath.
Gabi in competition. Podium finishes and races across Brazil.

Current sponsors
She hosts without taking the place of the stories. Her role is to enter where a reporting crew usually cannot, translate technical decisions and build the trust people need to speak without leaving the moment they are living.
Her community includes more than 50,000 followers and reaches over 1.5 million accounts each month. That audience follows kitesurfing and travel before the premiere.
08 · Narrative structure
Each episode follows one day of the crossing and a different human side of the race. Titles are provisional and characters are confirmed during reporting.
01
Touros · eve and start
Athletes arrive from across Brazil and abroad. The town changes pace with the convoy, guesthouses fill up and fishermen share the beach with dozens of kites. The night before, everyone checks gear and talks about tomorrow’s wind. The start puts them in open sea for the first time.
Safety briefing, kites rigged on the sand, faces before the start, the town from above and the first stretch on the water.
02
São Miguel do Gostoso · first long stage
This episode shows what almost nobody sees. Hours riding with wind hitting the body, burning legs, raw hands, falls far from shore. On the beach, the support team races to reach anyone who snapped a line or cannot get back.
Camera on the water beside the athlete, breathing and wind sound, rescues in action, exhausted arrivals and recovery at the end of the day.
03
Galinhos · coastal communities
The focus moves from the race to the people who live there. Galinhos is reached only by boat or 4x4, and the convoy’s arrival becomes an event. The series looks for children growing up close to the wind, residents who live from the sea and the late afternoon conversations where athletes and community meet.
Portraits of residents, children in the water, fishing boats, sunset over the peninsula and the convoy sharing the village.
04
Grossos · accumulated fatigue
Three days of racing weigh on body and mind. Someone considers stopping, one rider waits for another who fell far offshore, and each person decides whether to keep going. The competition continues, but solidarity shows more.
Athletes sitting drained on the sand, hard conversations with the team, competitors helping each other and the roughest sea of the crossing.
05
Fortim · finish in Ceará
The finish closes four days crossing two states by sea. The podium matters, but the episode also shows who arrived after almost quitting, what changed in each person and the strange emptiness when the wind drops and the convoy says goodbye.
Final meters on the water, hugs on the sand, podium, farewells and a last aerial view of the whole route.

09 · Inside the race
The route and checkpoints are presented at briefing. On the water, reading the coast, navigation and strategy come together.
The race includes monitoring and rescue. The series follows the decision and operation without turning risk into spectacle.
The proposal combines water cameras, support boat and drone. The final design depends on access confirmed with the organisers.
Wind, tide, coastline and accumulated fatigue change what an athlete can do from one stage to the next.
10 · For broadcasters
We are looking for a broadcast partner to develop the series, define its best exhibition window and shape the editorial delivery before the race. The project is in development and character reporting begins during event preparation.
Format
4 to 5 episodes
Duration
15 to 20 minutes
Capture
4K · water · land · drone
Language
Portuguese · subtitles planned
Window
Linear and digital to be defined
Status
Development and pre-production
Partnership models
The project can begin through two commercial paths. Both secure screen time, delivery deadlines and the editorial independence of the series.
The broadcaster co-produces and sport-related brands come in as production sponsors, within the channel's merchandising rules. The series reaches the screen without consuming programming budget and builds commercial strength from the first season.
The series is produced and licensed ready for broadcast, with first-window exclusivity and space for linear and digital. The broadcaster sets the premiere date and the value is closed per episode or per package.
Financing
The project may bring together production partners and brands connected to sport. Any commercial presence will be designed with the broadcaster and remain subject to the series’ editorial independence.

Editorial conversation
The proposal is open for development with broadcasters and production companies.
